Gary Alan Grant, age 63, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on August 27, 2021. He entered this life on April 9, 1958, in Springfield, Missouri, the son of Joe and Mary Lynn (Grant) Grant. Gary is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Gary grew up in Springfield and retired from City Utilities where he worked in power production and the gas services department for 35 years. His vacation destinations took him to the American West, Hawaii, and the Caribbean. He amassed an extensive firearms collection that complemented his marksmanship. Movies at home, with candy, rounded out his entertainment.  Gary's friends will always have wonderful memories of the good times spent with him. Most of all Gary loved his daughter, she meant the world to him and was his greatest joy.

Gary is survived by his daughter, Lindsey Grant of Springfield, Missouri; brother, Steve (Stephanie) Grant of Springfield, Missouri; several cousins; and good friend, Jeremy Strickland of Ozark, Missouri.

There will be a graveside service in Slagle Cemetery in Brighton, Missouri, 2:30 PM on Friday September 3, 2021, officiated by Chaplain Elizabeth Tinlin.  Slagle Cemetery is north of Brighton, MO (off Hwy. 13).
