Giles Mack

Giles Mack, age of 72. Branson, Missouri

Beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, Giles Mack, entered into heaven peacefully on Monday, May 1, 2023 at the age of 72.

 Giles Francis Mack was born to John & Lena Mack on August 14, 1950 in Rugby, North Dakota.  He studied electronics in college before entering service with the United States Army.  He served as a communications infantryman in Vietnam, earning several accommodations and medals.  He went on to earn his degree from North Dakota State College of Science.  Along with caring for his family, Giles was a technician with Xerox for 26 years. 

 On June 30, 1987, Giles married his loving wife Sharon in Grand Forks, ND. They moved to Florida for a short time. Through a dream, the Lord then directed them to move to Branson. They have lived in Branson for 23 years.  Giles devoted himself to Bible study and has written four books on Christian theology. They have had many years of various Christian ministry, including marriage counseling, helping people with divorce care recovery, smuggling Bibles into China, two missionary trips to Mexico, working in New York with David Wilkerson’s ministry to the homeless, building homes with Habitat for Humanity after a hurricane in Florida, two trips to Israel and years of small group Bible study in their home. They have greatly enjoyed entertaining throughout the years. Giles also enjoyed singing, being part of the church choir, and blowing the shofar. Giles and Sharon have been faithful members of Faith & Wisdom Church. 

 Giles is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Neil Mack, who was also in Vietnam; sisters-in-law, Corrine Mack and Deana Mack; and brother-in-law, Alan Whisman.

 Left to cherish Giles’ memory are his wife, Sharon Mack of Branson; children, Michelle (Paul) Pearson of Fort Worth, TX, Brent Stafford of Houston, TX; siblings, Blaine (Sandy) Mack of Harvey, ND, Terry (Dawn) Mack of Coeur d’Alene, ID, August (Joni) Mack of Coeur d’Alene, ID, Frank Mack of Fort Myers, FL, John (Alissa) Mack of Dickinson, ND, Linda Whisman of Harvey, ND, Joyce Mack of Rice Lake, WI, Joselyn Mack of Post Falls, ID; grandchildren, Nathan (Kailyn) Pearson, Stephen (Jamie) Pearson, Christian Pearson, Christina Pearson, Kien Stafford, Tai Stafford along with two great granddaughters, Esther Pearson and Rena Pearson.

 

Services will be Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Faith and Wisdom Church, 3950 Green Mountain Dr., Branson, MO.  Visitation will begin at 10:15 AM with the service to follow at 11:00 AM in the church and military honors to follow.  Graveside services will be Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at 11:00 AM in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield.  Arrangements are under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson.
