Harold King, age 82, of Garfield, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Roaring River Health and Rehab in Cassville.
He was born April 10, 1939 in Seligman, Missouri, the son of Virgil and Edna (Arnold) King. On June 6, 1986 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas he was united in marriage to Barbara Ottinger, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Jeremy King of Garfield, Arkansas; two daughters, Brandy Gatlin of Harrison, Arkansas and Mandi Jacobs of Cassville, Missouri; one brother, Ron King of Republic, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Janie Yandell and her husband Kevin of Texas and Tammy Ottinger and her husband Dean of Missouri; ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, two brothers and three sisters.
He had been employed by Simmons Food in Northwest Arkansas as a maintenance worker from where he retired. In 1986 he moved to Oklahoma, remaining there until 1999 when he moved to Garfield. Some of his favorite ways to spend time was fishing, mechanic work, and tinkering, he could fix anything and he loved to cook. He was a member of New Salem Baptist Church in Seligman.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
