Jackie Wayne Black, age 65, of Seligman, Missouri
Jackie Wayne Black, age 65, of Seligman, Missouri passed away Monday, May 2, 2022 at his home.
He was born May 11, 1956 in Cassville, Missouri the son of Charles Frederick “Fred” and Lois Jean (Rose) Black. On May 11, 1991 in Washburn, Missouri he was united in marriage to Garnet Rea, who survives. Also surviving are his father, Fred Black; one son, Joe Black and his wife Judy of Rogers, Arkansas; three daughters, Andrea Brothers and her husband Darren of Calico Rock, Arkansas, Stephanie Jester and her husband Brad of Mountain View, Missouri and Gina Mikesell of Rogers, Arkansas; two brothers, Ray Black and his wife Deena of Washburn, Missouri and Jim Black and his wife Martha of Little Flock, Arkansas; nine grandchildren; one great grandson and one great granddaughter on the way.
Preceding him in death were his mother, Lois Black and a granddaughter, Micah Jean Jester.
Jackie grew up and attended Southwest High School in Washburn, Missouri. He was a member of a blue grass band, the Black Mountain Boys. Singing, working on guitars, gardening, picking blackberries and teasing the grandkids were some of his favorite things to do. Jackie was a member of Washburn First Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, May 6, 2022 at Cargile Cemetery in Washburn, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Reverend Jim Erwin and Reverend Glenn Erwin will conduct the services.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Thursday at Washburn First Baptist Church Activity Center.
