James Roy McNeely, 68 of Branson, MO
James Roy McNeely was born on September 27, 1952 in Parsons, Kansas and on Sunday August 22, 2021, at the age of 68, he met our Lord Jesus Christ face to face, who was and is the love of his life.
He grew up in Belton, Missouri, graduated from high school and went off to serve his country in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. His working career after service, consisted of working for the Veteran’s Administration helping dependents of fully disabled Veterans with their health care benefits for 25 years. James served and attended several churches throughout his lifetime – wherever God called him to be. Recently that included Faith & Wisdom Church in Branson, MO. James loved studying Revelation and the Word of God. He also enjoyed golfing and fishing and loved cruising around on his riding lawnmower.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy McNeely; first wife Rita McNeely; and honorary step-son, Darin Herman.
James is survived by his mother, Lorraine McNeely; his sister Brenda Tanner and husband Vern of Peculiar, Mo, his wife Mickie McNeely of Branson; his son Dean McNeely and wife Grace of Monnet, Mo and his precious grandchildren: Tatjana, Harley, Antonio, Michael and James. As well as his honorary step-son, Danny Herman of Kansas City, Mo, and his honorary step-son Neil Soncrant of Jefferson City, Mo.
Military Interment will be held at Fayetteville National Cemetery at 1:30 PM on Monday, August 30, 2021, 1000 South Lt. Col Leroy Pond Ave, Fayetteville, AR.
Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at 10:30 AM. Faith and Wisdom Church, 3950 Green Mountain Drive, Branson, MO 65616 (Lunch to follow in Fellowship Hall).
In lieu of flowers James requested donations to Faith and Wisdom Church for Missions.
