Janet Kay Imes, 77 of Branson, passed away on October 18, 2024 at Cox Medical Center in Branson.
Janet was born on July 26, 1947 in Gassville, AR to Dean & Mayme (Duncan) Hatfield. Her family moved to California and Janet graduated from High School in Central Valley, CA. On February 19, 1966, she married Leslie Imes in Redding, California. Along with being a loving mother and wife, Janet worked outside the home both in manufacturing and retail. She worked for Lee Manufacturing and Walmart in Lebanon, MO as well as Sears, both in Portland, OR and Springfield, MO, and Walmart and K-Mart in Springfield, MO. Janet enjoyed going to yard sales and conducting yard sales. She also loved to read, drive for the fun of it and travel.
Janet moved to Branson in 2022 from Long Lane, Missouri where she had resided for over 47 years. She greatly loved her family and was a devoted and doting grandmother and great grandmother.
She will be deeply missed by her family: son, John Imes & wife Rebecca of Merriam Woods, MO; daughters, Susie Imes of Harrison, AR and Angie Imes of Purdy, MO; siblings, Steve Hatfield of Kennewick, WA, Ken Hatfield & wife Lorraine of Redding, CA, and Marilyn Richardson & husband Mike of The Dalles, OR; along with her grandchildren, Colby Imes, Meghan Imes, Brittany McDonald, Dylan Imes; and eleven great-grandchildren.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Dean & Mayme Hatfield; husband, Leslie Imes; brother, Ron Hatfield; sisters, Sharon Gamm, Carol Winters, and Phyllis Monroe; and one great-grandson, Cooper McDonald.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no memorial service. She will be interred with her husband, Leslie, in Long Lane at a later date. Cremation arrangements were in the care of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson.
