Janet Louise Wilcox

Janet Louise Wilcox, 79, of Lead Hill, Arkansas.

Janet Louise Wilcox, 79, of Lead Hill, Arkansas passed away September 6, 2024, in Harrison, Arkansas at The Springs of Mt. Vista. She was born on January 2, 1945, in Boston, Massachusetts, the daughter of Armando and Pearl (Gastaferro) Venturi.

Jan moved to California and met Kenneth. She and Kenneth were married in December, they would have celebrated their 51st anniversary this year. About 25 years ago, the two of them decided to make a home in Arkansas. They had their house built, but Kennth did a lot of work on it himself. Jan loved living in Arkansas. It was a great place to enjoy and raise her dogs. When she and Kenneth got together, she was a fan of cats, but Kenneth persuaded her that dogs were the best.

Throughout the years, Janet and Kenneth had many four-legged dog babies. Jan loved her little Yorkie, Daisy. Daisy and Janet had a great bond, and they were inseparable. Along with Daisy, they had Sophie the dachshund and Bailey the part beagle dog. Jan would load the dogs up in the mule and drive them around the property while checking on Kenneth, whether he be mowing or tinkering around on something in his shop. At the beginning of the year, after 14 years of a great friendship, Janet lost her baby girl, Daisy. Her heart was broken.

Jan was a collector; you can look around in her house and see her love of collecting knick-knacks. Her favorite thing to collect was bears, she has bear statues, bear pictures, bear ceramics, if it had a bear on it, it had to be purchased.

When Jan and Kenneth weren’t hanging around the house with the dogs, they enjoyed going to Branson to the shows. Their favorite show to go to was Hamners’ Unbelievable Varity show. The show offered so many things from singing to illusions and acrobats.

Janet is proceeded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Kenneth of the home, her daughter Lorriane (John) and their two children Ashley and Donte and 2 two great grandchildren. Also, Janet is survived by her two sisters Rosemary (Henry) and Gret (Rick).

Jan will be missed by all who loved her, including her fur babies.

Cremation arrangements are under the care of Diamond State Cremation in Lead Hill, Arkansas. Condolences may be made at www.DiamondStateCremation.com.
