Jerry Dean Stearman, 74.

Jerry Dean Stearman, 74. graduated to Heaven on Friday July 8, 2022 in Branson, MO 

Jerry was born April 7, 1948 in Kansas City, MO to Thomas O. Stearman and Margie Louise (Watson) Stearman. He grew up as the youngest of five children in the historic Northeast neighborhood of Kansas City. He attended Northeast High-School. He learned the value of hard work and a developed a strong worth ethic early in life. He worked as a line cook as a young man. He entered the printing trade and worked for Lowell Press until his early retirement in 1993. He then worked as a maintenance technician at Sheffield Family Life Center in Kansas City until 2011. He most recently volunteered at his home church Bridge of Faith Community Church doing maintenance and carpentry, and was a prominent resident of Rockaway Beach, MO since 2012. 

He had strong faith in Christ Jesus and fiercely loved his beloved wife and soul mate. He doted on his children and was seen as a dad and granddad figure to many kids in his communities and to his children’s friends. In recent years he spent much of his time with his church family. 

Jerry had a zeal for life and loved his family. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and a member of the Cristian Motorcycle Association. As an avid Royals fan, he loved going to Kauffman stadium to watch baseball games. Enjoyed the KC Chiefs. He enjoyed the shows of Branson and going to Silver Dollar City. The was an accomplished cook that made his own homemade salsa. He once had a dream of having his own Mexican restaurant and making his own salsa and burrito spreads. He enjoyed travel with his family and had many adventures. He gave his family an extraordinary life. He was an all around handy man. Having built two homes himself from the foundation up. First residing in Excelsior Springs, MO until 2011, and Rockaway Beach, MO until his death. 

He was a single father with two little girls. He then met a single mother, of a son, on New Years Eve, 1974. He married Jackie Pauline Keithley on June 7, 1975 an together they raised a blended family. His wife Jackie Survives of the home in Rockaway Beach, MO 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Margie Stearman. In-laws Dale and Pauline Keithley. Two brothers, Charles Stearman and Samuel Stearman. Brother-in-law, Harold Shaw and a nephew, Randy Stearman. 

He is survived by his wife, he adored of for 47 years, Jackie Pauline Stearman of the home. Two daughters, Angela Deann (Don) Stearman-Hendrix of Peculiar, MO. Aimee Diann (Aaron) Stearman-Green of Excelsior Springs MO. One son Michael Joseph (Denise) Stearman of Fort Wayne, IN. Six granddaughters, Sydney (Amber) Jeffers-Moore of Independence, MO. Morgann (Michael) Hendrix-Diley of Belton, MO, Linea (Chad) Stearman-Rosales of Columbus, GA, Maxine and Joy Stearman of Fairbanks AK, Logann Staggenborg and Madalyn Green of 

Excelsior Springs, MO. one step-grandson Avrie Green of Tucson, AZ. Seven great-grand daughters, Ariel, Edynn, Brielle, Layla, Elena, Mikaya and Charlie. One brother, Eugene (Brenda) Stearman of Nixa, MO. One sister Mary Shaw of Kansas City, MO. Two sisters in law, Marsha Peterson of Kansas City, KS and Rhonda (Rick) Hall of Grant, MI and many bonus kids, bonus grandchildren, nieces, nephews and life long friends. 

He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. 

Services will be at Bridge Of Faith Community Church Rockaway Beach 

296 Lake St, Rockaway Beach, MO, Wednesday July 13, 2022.Visitation with family will be from 3:00 to 4:00 P.M followed by a A Celebration of Life service at 4:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Bridge of Faith Community Church or the American Heart Association. 

Jerry was an organ and tissue donor with Mid-American Transplant Service. 

Cremation is under the direction of the Kissee-Schofield-Eakins Funeral Home, Forsyth, Mo.
