Joann Carol Haworth, age 84, of Purdy, Missouri.

Joann Carol Haworth, age 84, of Purdy, Missouri passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at her home.

She was born January 19, 1940 in Cassville, Missouri the daughter of Albert Milton “A.M.” and Marie (Doty) Sparkman. On August 20, 1960 in Exeter, Missouri she was united in marriage to Verlon Leroy “Bub” Haworth, who preceded her in death on January 23, 2019. Also preceding her in death were her parents; one brother, Verlin Howard and twin infant sisters.

Surviving are one son, Lee Haworth of Purdy, Missouri; one daughter, Janice Ray and her husband Ernie of Purdy, Missouri; one brother, James Sparkman and his wife Darla of Exeter, Missouri; one sister, Phyllis Henbest and her husband Keith of Katy, Texas; two grandchildren, Amanda Miller and her husband Justin of Purdy, Missouri and James Ray and his wife Tina of Purdy, Missouri and six great grandchildren, Aubry, Cason, Weston, Elijah, Ellee and Isaiah.

Joann grew up and attended school in Exeter, Missouri, graduating from Exeter High School in 1958. After graduating she worked at Moss Supermarket in Monett, Missouri. After getting married she milked cows on the family farm before becoming employed by FASCO Industries in Cassville, Missouri where she worked for 20 years and from where she retired. Joann enjoyed teaching her Sunday School class, collecting coins, and going to flea markets, but most of all she loved her family, especially the grandkids and great grandkids. She was a strong believer in the Lord. She had attended both Gunter Church and Arnhart Baptist Church.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Jerry Nickle will conduct the services. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter, Missouri.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until service time Saturday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
