Joanne Embry, age 89, of Branson, Missouri, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2025. Born on February 21, 1936, in Monticello, Minnesota, Joanne lived a full and vibrant life marked by her unwavering love for her family, her Christian faith, and her deep commitment to those she loved.
Joanne was the cherished daughter of Orville and Helen Clark and the oldest of their four children. She was a devoted mother, sister, and daughter, and her life was built on a foundation of love, kindness, and compassion. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill Embry, with whom she shared a beautiful and lasting bond for many years. Together, they raised three children: Michael (spouse Sylvia Lynn), Steve (spouse Sherrie Lynn), and Julie (spouse Sharon Lynn), each of whom she loved dearly and nurtured throughout her life. Her love extended to her daughters-in-law as well, forming a close-knit family that meant the world to them.
In addition to her children, Joanne is survived by her brothers Kenneth Clark and Thomas Clark, her sister Patricia Ellsberry, seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her great joy and pride. Her legacy of love, faith, and devotion lives on through them.
Joanne was known for her strength, her kindness, and her deep Christian faith. She was a woman of conviction, who found comfort and guidance in her faith throughout her life. She dedicated herself to her family and friends, and her unwavering spirit left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
The family is grateful for the time they had with Joanne and will continue to honor her memory in the years to come. A viewing will be held from 2-3 pm prior to a 3 pm celebration of her life in Branson, Missouri, at Friendly Baptist Church, March 29th, 2025. A brief graveside service will follow the celebration of life.
Joanne’s love, faith, and presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May she rest in eternal peace.
