 Joe Allen Fisher, age 86, of Cassville, Missouri

 Joe Allen Fisher, age 86, of Cassville, Missouri passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at his home.

            He was born September 8, 1936 in Cassville, Missouri the son of Clarence Raymond and Lillie May (Burk) Fisher, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were one son, Michael; three grandsons, Dustin, Daniel and Allen; one brother, Bill Fisher and one sister, Wilma Hutchens.

            Surviving are his life partner of 25 years, Sophia Bickford of Cassville, Missouri; one son, David Fisher of Cassville, Missouri; two daughters, Linda Childers and her husband Craig of Grove, Oklahoma and Donna Jones and her husband Jimmy of Gateway, Arkansas; one sister, Martha Craig of Fairland, Oklahoma; two stepsons, Doug Hinds and his wife Tennille of Cassville, Missouri and Glenn Hinds of Cassville, Missouri; two stepdaughters, Grantalea “Sissy” Schroeder and her partner Ronnie of Cassville, Missouri and Calista Powers and her partner Darin of Grove, Oklahoma; 20 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

            Joe grew up and attended school in Cassville, Missouri graduating from Cassville High School. He served in the United States Air Force. Upon returning home he was employed by G & R and later by R & M Industries in Purdy, Missouri from where he retired as a machinist and machinist mechanic. Joe loved fly fishing and enjoyed tying his own flies, hunting, quilting and sewing. He was a very kind generous man. Joe would help fix things for all who needed it. He was of the Baptist faith.

            Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Rod Bowen and Donnie Stumpff will conduct the services. Burial will be at Corinth Cemetery in Cassville, Missouri.

            The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:00 P.M. Friday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.

            Contributions may be made to Shriners Childrens Hospitals for Children in memory of Joe.
