John Battistoni

John Battistoni of the Ozarks.

Anyone that had the honor of knowing John Battistoni knows the loving and cheerful heart he had for others. To see his smile was to feel joy, and to be known by him was to be loved by him. John is a fully devoted follower of Christ, and during his life on earth he walked closely with the Lord and served Him well. He and his wife, Jan Battistoni, lived a beautiful life together filled with humor, love, and adventure. Together they explored the world, enjoyed summers on the lake, road trips in their RV, and spent many evenings in Busch Stadium cheering on the Cardinals. Together, they built a stunning home surrounded by the beauty of the Ozarks, and they loved their two dogs, Luigi and Indy.

John is preceded in death by his parents John and Elizabeth Battistoni. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jan, and his children. John is the father to his daughter, Jocelin, married to Guy Sisto who currently live in Chicago, his son, Jeff Battistoni, and daughter-in-law, Tracey who reside in Chicago, and John's second Son, Jeremy Battistoni, and his wife, Sarah, who live in Orlando, Florida. Countless other family, friends and loved ones hold John's memory.

John Battistoni was a man with many talents and passions, and he clearly displayed them in his career. He spent over thirty dedicated years at AT&T and IBM before he retired. John volunteered as a Stone County firefighter and EMT. He cherished this country, valued patriotism, and loved keeping up with current events and politics.

Both John and Jan Battistoni called Woodland Hills Family Church their church home for the past seventeen years. Every Sunday they walked into church with kind smiles ready to serve. They invested in the lives of young people and showed them the love of Jesus. Here, we will celebrate John's life Thursday, March 31st at one 0'clock in the afternoon. The service will be held at John's church home, Woodland Hills Family Church.

We mourn the loss of John Battistoni while we celebrate the life of a kind and joyful soul. He was never short of a joke and a laugh. He spread generosity freely and blessed the lives of others. Willingness to help those in need, love others, and delight in the Lord characterize the life of John. We mourn with the hope that John rests in the presence of the Lord and that we may see his smile once again on the other side of eternity.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in the name of John Battistoni to St. Jude Children's Hospital. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks. To leave an online condolence, please visit www.cremationsoftheozarks.com.
