Keith O’Hare...

Cherished Father and Gramps, Keith O’Hare, entered into Heaven on January 5, 2025 at the age of 84 in Branson, Missouri.

Keith Edward O’Hare was born on March 2, 1940 in Portales, New Mexico to Lowell & Irene (Gardner) O’Hare.  He graduated from Tatum High School in Tatum, NM and entered the United States Navy.  He proudly served four years in the Navy on the USS Bennington.  Upon returning home, Keith attended Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, earning his bachelor's degree.  He went on to a long and fulfilling career as a water specialist for the New Mexico Office of the State Engineer.

Keith married the love of his life, Peggy (Walton) on June 15, 1973 in Portales.  They shared fifty wonderful years of marriage together as well as four children, five grandchildren and countless memories.  After retiring, Keith and Peggy built a home near Peggy’s family in Blue Eye, Missouri and moved there from Roswell, NM in 1997.

Keith will be remembered for his great love of the outdoors, especially if it involved camping or working in the yard.  He spent many happy hours, working on his Land Rover in his younger years.  He also enjoyed collecting coins and cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs and St. Louis Cardinals.

Keith was a man of faith, love and generosity.  He attended and served at Kimberling City Church of Christ in Kimberling City, MO and deeply valued his church family.  He unsparingly loved and gave of himself and what he had to his family and friends and shied away from any attention being brought to his kindness.  He ensured those he loved were cared for while at the same time also having a great sense of humor and enjoying pulling a good prank or joke on his family and friends.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Lowell & Irene O’Hare; his wife, Peggy O’Hare; and two sisters, Shirley Howard and Rosa Lee Cundiff.

His memory will live on with his children, Cindy Adams of Kimberling City, MO, Kent Steadmon of McKinney, TX, Kirk Steadmon & wife Tiffany of Kila, MT and Heather Skipworth and husband Rusty of Oswego, IL and his grandchildren, Lauren Frontz, Mandolin Skipworth and husband Brandon Kiefer, Mirabelle Skipworth, Halen O’Hare Skipworth and Brodey O’Hare Skipworth.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson with burial following in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson.

In Keith’s memory, donations may be made to the Kimberling City Church of Christ, 7 Northwoods Dr., Kimberling City, MO 65686.
