Kenneth Wayne Ice, age 80, of Galena, Missouri

Kenneth Wayne Ice, age 80, of Galena, Missouri, passed away May 1, 2022, at his home. He entered this life October 5, 1941, in Springfield, Missouri, the son of Lester and Lorene (Mincks) Ice. Preceding him in death are his parents; wife, Linda Ice; and brother, Charles Ice.

With an eye for detail, Kenneth enjoyed drawing, collecting coins, and collecting belt buckles. In his relaxing times, he could be found fishing, watching NASCAR, or traveling. In his younger years, he was a great athlete, playing ball and bowling in a bowling league. Kenneth also would “air box” to reminisce his younger days as a boxer. He worked many years at Lily-Tulip Corporation in Springfield before retiring. His favorite movie was The Ten Commandments. Most of all, Kenneth loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He was most happy and content when his family was surrounding him. The memories made will endure in the hearts and minds of those who knew him.

Kenneth is survived by his three children: Kevin (Lisa) Ice of Republic, Missouri, Tamara (Paul) Tucker of Galena, Missouri, and Kenton Ice of Springfield, Missouri; six grandchildren: Melissa (Jerry) Thurman, Michelle Campbell, Paul Tucker Jr., Matthew Tucker, LeeAnna (Everett) Howell, and Dalton (Krista) Ice; six great-grandchildren: Hailey Ice, Haiden Coble, Cierra Gideon, Zackary Campbell, Jeremy Tucker, and Rachlyn Tucker; LeeAnna and Dalton’s mother, Regenia Estes; Kenton’s ex-wife, Carmen Ice; mother of Kenneth’s children, Sharon Barnes; and many other nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A celebration of life will be 11:00 a.m. May 14, 2022, at Harvest Ministries, 3114 E. Sunset, Springfield, Missouri, with Pastor Brian McCoy officiating.
