Kenneth “Ken” Franklin

Kenneth “Ken” Franklin Ingram, age 66, Rockaway Beach, Missouri

Kenneth “Ken” Franklin Ingram, age 66, passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 24, 2023, in Rockaway Beach, Missouri. He entered this life March 31, 1957, in Garland, Texas, the son of Tom and Martha (McDonald) Ingram. He is proceeded in death by both his parents. Ken was joined in marriage December 22, 1979, to Carla Horton.

With great dedication to the Lord, Ken spent much of his life as a pastor in Centralia, Missouri. He earned his master’s degree in religious education at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He served on the Executive Leadership Team at Bridge of Faith Community Church and was recently Life Group Leader for Bloom Church. Over the years Ken shared the word of God, baptized, and joined many people in marriage.

Ken was Texas proud, loved the Dallas Cowboys, and was well known for his award winning “Whistleberry Chili”. A loving soul, Ken is remembered for his great sense of humor that created bonds with others throughout his time as a pastor. In addition to his pastoral work, Ken built many long-lasting friends through his career as a salesperson and loan officer. He met and mentored many in this journey, leaving a legacy of doing right by his customer as the north star of his sales success. Ken also served Rockaway Beach as a city alderman, striving to be a positive influence in making decisions to improve the community. An athlete in his younger years, Ken enjoyed participating in football, basketball, baseball and track at Everman High School. He loved attending reunions with his Tau Alpha Phi Fraternity brothers from Hardin Simmons University. In recent years he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Though the relationships created with his friends and family over his lifetime were very special, none were as deep as his relationship with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Ken is survived by his wife of forty-three years, Carla Ingram of Rockaway Beach, Missouri; children: Bryan (Stephanie) Ingram of Overland Park, Kansas, and Ashlee (William) Webb of Kirbyville, Missouri; grandchildren: Nora Webb, Alexandra Ridge, and Melody Ridge; brother, Donald (Karen) Ingram of Hudson Oaks, Texas; sister, Marsha (Tim) Field of Alberta, Canada; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
