LaJuana Dawn Murphy Brann

LaJuana Dawn Murphy Brann...

LaJuana Dawn Murphy Brann left this life and went home to be with Jesus, family, and friends on August 16, 2024, in Springfield, MO with her son and brother by her side.

Born on January 16, 1948, LaJuana entered the world in Sydney, Montana, to traveling musicians and ministers Bill and Ila Murphy. Like her parents, music and ministry would become LaJuana’s passions.

For many years, the family, including LaJuana’s younger brother Robert, toured the United States and Canada as Gospel musicians. LaJuana would eventually make her home in Pocatello, ID, where she raised her son, Tyler, and ran a successful first aid supply business. In 2006, she moved to Tulsa, OK, where she studied Interactive Media, Journalism, and Audio Recording at Oral Roberts University while also working on staff at the school.

She most recently called Branson, MO, home, where she served on the worship team at Faith and Wisdom Church as their Hammond B3 artist. It has been said that there wasn’t a song LaJuana couldn’t play. During this time, she continued to write and record music in her home studio and with other musicians in the area. Aside from music, LaJuana also loved photography, capturing local wildlife and special places along her travels. More than anything, she loved her grandkids and bragging about them every time she had an opportunity to.

LaJuana is survived by her brother, Robert Murphy, her son Tyler Brann, two grandchildren, Aiden (10) and Ila (2), and a third grandchild, Oliver, who will be arriving this November. As her grandson Aiden stated, we couldn't have asked for a better mother, sister, Grammy, friend, and follower of Christ. She will remain in our hearts and be missed every day.

In lieu of a traditional funeral, a celebration of LaJuana’s life will be held in the near future in Branson, with additional details to follow.

Cards of condolence to the family can be sent to c/o Tyler Brann, 3950 Green Mountain Dr, Branson, MO 65616.

Services in the care of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson.
