Laura Ann Gould, cherished daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, passed away on the 14th of March, 2025, in Kirbyville, Missouri, surrounded by her family.
Laura was born on July 26, 1972, in Carthage, Missouri, to Charles and Virginia Phillips. She grew up in Carthage until the age of fifteen, when she then moved with her family to Branson, and completed her education, graduating from Branson High School. She became a wife and mother, raising her children in St. Louis for a time before returning to the Branson area.
Laura worked many years in housekeeping giving great attention to creating welcoming and clean spaces in the many resorts and vacation rentals in the Branson area. She especially enjoyed her time working with the people at Kate’s Cleaning Service.
Family was the cornerstone of Laura’s world. She maintained an especially close bond with her mother, Virginia Phillips, and sisters, Charlene Phillips and Karen King all of Springfield. She also carried great devotion and love for her children, Stanley, Jennifer, and Brandon Gould all of Kirbyville and grandchildren, Arrianna Gould, Ashton Gould and Elijah McLain. Her love extended to her nephews, Saylor Bell and Tristan Bell of Springfield who she was a second mother to and loved as much as her own children, and her great niece and nephew Veronica and Jasper Bell. Laura was preceded in death by her father, Charles Phillips and husband, Stanley Gould.
Laura was a compassionate soul who deeply loved animals and was always ready to help those in need. She was also an enthusiast of Halloween and ghost hunting. Laura immersed herself in the exploration of the paranormal and supernatural. Her curiosity and sense of wonder were fun and contagious. She will be profoundly missed but never forgotten.
Her family will hold a private celebration of her life. Cremation services were in the care of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson.
