Memorial service for Linda M. Bender, 76, Forsyth, will be held Thursday, Mar. 14, 2024, at 2PM Snapp-Bearden Forsyth Chapel, Forsyth. Pastor Justin Nichols will officiate. The burial will be held at a later date in West Virginia. Mrs. Bender entered into rest Sat. March 9, at her home.
Linda Mae Bender was born May 14, 1947, in Dunbar, West Virginia to Ray and Deltha (Wit) Workman. She married Roger Joseph, Sr. and they were blessed with three sons, Roger Joseph, Sr. preceded Linda in death. Linda married James Bender who had also preceded Linda in death.
Linda received a bachelor’s degree in business and accounting from college. Although she had received this degree, she was a stay-at-home mom who enjoyed raising her sons and taking care of the family. She enjoyed going to garage sells, sewing, watching crime shows on TV and making patches. Linda had lived in many states during her lifetime, Texas, Florida, and West Virginia, to name a few. She had attended the River Church, Forsyth, when she was able.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, a son Richard Joseph, and a sister Brenda Workman.
Linda is survived by her sons J.R. Joseph of Sneads Ferry, N.C., Jason Joseph of Nitro, West Virginia, sister Loretta Brooks of West Virginia, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, Mar. 14, from 12:30 PM till service 2PM in the Snapp-Bearden Forsyth Chapel, Forsyth, Mo.
