Lindal G. Hinson, 74, of Harrison, Arkansas, departed this life on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison. He was born January 24, 1950, in Harrison, Arkansas, to E.D. (Slim) Hinson and Eileen (Anderson) Hinson.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Ronald Hinson.
Lindal is survived by one daughter and her husband, Tammy and Jeff McNair of Harrison, Arkansas, one son Tony Hinson of Harrison, Arkansas, a sister Sharon Howell of Harrison, Arkansas, and a brother and his wife, Butch and Marilyn Hinson of Harrison, Arkansas. Also, he leaves behind five grandchildren, Makala Spencer and husband Bradley of Searcy, Arkansas, Blake McNair and his wife Bailey of Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee, Taylor Hinson, Andrew Hinson, and Lydia Hinson all of Harrison, Arkansas. In addition, Lindal had six great granddaughters, Olivia, Havyn, Navie, Kasyn, Beckett and Presley whom he loved dearly and a host of other family and friends.
Lindal spent his early working days as a self-employed wood worker building beautiful furniture. He devoted the last 20 years of his career at Asplundh where he held many different titles. He found great joy in working with his hands and being outdoors. Lindal was a member of the Church of Christ.
Lindal was an avid outdoorsman; hunting and fishing were his passion. He was a master gardener and even better cook. His love for the Arkansas Razorbacks and St. Louis Cardinals ran deep, but his grandkids’ basketball teams were his favorite. He was a ferocious card player and highly competitive. Nothing brought him more joy than his grandchildren and great granddaughters. He cherished every moment spent with his family and they will deeply miss him.
A memorial graveside service will be scheduled at a later date.
