Lynn Brown, age 82, Galena, Missouri
Beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Lynn Brown passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024 at her home in Galena at the age of 82. Lynn was born on March 11, 1941 in Cleveland, Ohio.
A vibrant and caring mother, Lynn gave much of time and love to others. Moments spent and memories made with her children, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and friends gave Lynn so much joy. Those she shared time with also got to experience the blessing of her love, presence and her great humor especially telling funny stories. Lynn was a faithful follower of Christ and a member at Cedar Ridge Baptist Church. She was a woman dedicated to serving and praying for others. Her circle of friends and service also intersected in the Red Hat Society. She loved getting together for lunch and strengthening the bonds of friendship and sisterhood. Lynn was very supportive of veterans and giving back to those who gave so much. Her devotion to helping veterans began as a military wife and grew over the years, including a special acknowledgment wall she began at her church celebrating those who served. Her other interests included traveling, quilting or other sewing projects using her talents as a gifted seamstress.
Lynn was fortunate to find love twice, first in her marriage to Robert Dean Pritchett for 19 years and later in marriage to Jerry Brown for 20 years. Lynn and Jerry moved to Galena from California over 20 years ago.
Lynn leaves behind her children, Barbara Massey (John Jackson) of Galena; Rebecca Pritchett of Waynesville, MO; Eric Pritchett (Lucinda) of Texas and Tamara Olsen (Jay) of Texas; her sister, Rosemary Kundrat of Ohio; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and her cherished step-children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren she received in her marriage to Jerry.
