Mark Anthony Arnold, age 49, of Kirbyville, MO
Mark Anthony Arnold, age 49, passed away in his home in Kirbyville on July 12th, 2021.
Mark was born January 9th, 1972 in Kansas City, Missouri to Lee and Susan (Sloan) Arnold.
Mark was raised in Columbia Missouri, a graduate of Hickman High School Class of 1990. Mark married his high school sweetheart, Kristin (Bergstrom) in 1991 and they gave birth to their only child, Taylor, in 1992.
Mark loved music and he was an outstanding athlete: an energetic and powerful shortstop on the baseball diamond and a formidable 120 pounds on the wrestling mat.
Mark became a journeyman welder and artist, culminating in a 20-year membership to the Sheet Metal Union. Mark followed in his father’s footsteps as a detail-oriented and intricate craftsman on the job and at home; sometimes it seemed like there wasn’t a thing he couldn’t fix.
Many of Mark’s favorite pastimes involved the great outdoors. Cold-weather weekends for many years found him perched in a tree stand or huddled in a lean-to for shelter from the wind awaiting his next big buck.
He is survived by his daughter, Taylor Arnold of Columbia, MO; his mother, Susan Arnold of Columbia, MO; brothers, Marshall Banta of Centralia, MO and Mike Banta of Iowa; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
Mark is preceded in his death by his father, Lee Arnold; maternal grandparents, Paul and Meredith Sloan; and his paternal grandparents, Forest and Iva Arnold.
A celebration-of-life gathering will be held at a later determined date.
Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.
