Millard “Keith” Boyer, age 65, of Lynchburg, Virginia

            Millard “Keith” Boyer, age 65, of Lynchburg, Virginia passed away Saturday, December 24, 2022.

            He was born February 15, 1957 in Wichita, Kansas to Millard Dean and Emily “Louise” (Tucker) Boyer.

            Preceding him in death were his father, Millard Dean Boyer, one brother, Dean Boyer, and one nephew, Josh Boyer.

            Surviving are his mother, Emily “Louise” Leitner of Wichita, Kansas; one brother, Rick Boyer and his wife Marilyn of Rustburg, Virginia; one sister, Connie Boyer of Wichita, Kansas; thirteen nieces and nephews, and twenty-six great nieces and nephews.

            Keith attended school in Haysville, Kansas graduating from Campus High School in 1975. He attended Wichita State University 1976 to 1978 and was a Miller scholarship recipient. He was self-employed as a medical transcriptionist. Keith loved acting, performing in many plays in Wichita and beyond, including Singin’ in the Rain, Romeo & Juliet, Inventing Van Gogh, Shadowlands portraying C.S. “Jack” Lewis, Wizard of Oz, Fiddler on the Roof, Social Security, The Trip to Bountiful, and many others, traveling around the country to pursue his passion before settling in Virginia. He worked for a time as a radio broadcaster and also did voice-over work for radio and television. He enjoyed going hiking and spending time in nature. He was a long-time member of First Baptist Church in Hayesville, Kansas

            A memorial service will be held at 5:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Haysville, 125 S. Delos Avenue, Haysville, Kansas 67060. Pastor Bo Graves will conduct the service.

            Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Milford Baker will conduct the services. Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Cassville, Missouri.

            Contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Haysville in memory of Keith.
