Monzel Gail Krueger, age 64, of Hollister, Missouri

Monzel Gail Krueger, age 64, of Hollister, Missouri, departed this life December 31, 2023, in St. Louis, Missouri. She entered this world on July 8, 1959, in Springfield, Missouri, the daughter of Lee Nelson Costlow and Thelma Luverne (Holt) Costlow. In August 2006, Monzel was joined with the love of her life, Sage Bryant Georgi. The many memories Monzel and Sage shared together will live on for many years.

Monzel was a strong woman with a spirit of adventure, who enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and canoeing. Her meals were not only made with her hands, but also with her heart. She was a wonderful cook. During the spring and summertime, Monzel adored attending the St. Louis Cardinals games or watching on TV if she couldn’t be there in person. Of the many loves and interests Monzel had in her life, her greatest love was her family, especially her grandkids. She was a great wife, mother and Mee-Ma who will be remembered for many generations to come.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Lonnie Costlow and Ray Costlow; an infant daughter, Shelly Goolsby; and son, Johnny Goolsby;.

Monzel is survived by her husband of 17 years, Sage Georgi of the home; two daughters: Rachael Sugg and husband Jason of Oklahoma, Angel LeBlanc and husband Paul of Hollister; a son, David Costlow of Missouri; eight grandchildren: Gabreal, Caleb, Veronica, Emory, Jacob, Savannah, Ethan, and Eurijah; 12 great-grandchildren; her beloved Great Danes: Jackson and Jade; and brothers: Clifford Costlow (Kathy )and Carol (Wayne) Costlow.

A celebration of Monzel’s life will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 14, 2024, at Cremations of the Ozarks. Services and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
