Nathanael Trigg “N.J.” Irvin Jr., precious son of Nathanael Trigg Irvin, Sr. and Cheridyn Powell, passed away peacefully in his parents’ arms Wednesday, July 3, 2024.

            Nathanael Trigg “N.J.” Irvin Jr., precious son of Nathanael Trigg Irvin, Sr. and Cheridyn Powell, passed away peacefully in his parents’ arms Wednesday, July 3, 2024.

            He was born May 30, 2024 at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.

            Baby N.J. is survived by his parents, Nate Irvin and Cheridyn Powell; his dinosaur-loving big brother, Braylon Shawn; grandparents, Blair and Lauralie Powell, and Rafael and Rhonda Brantley; great grandmother, Barbara Powell; great grandparents, Gary and Kathaleen Irvin, and Ronnie and Mama Tee Morrison; uncles and aunts, Uncle Cody and Aunt Mandi, Uncle Jaxon and Aunt Natalie, Uncle ‘Pete’, Aunt Emerald, and Uncle Tre; Cousins, Everlee, Tuck, Violet, and Henley.  

            Though N.J. was only here with us for a brief time, he left a tremendous impact on our hearts. He reminded us of what it means to be strong and brave through adversity. May he know how deeply loved and cherished he is beyond measure, by loved ones here on earth and those who have gone before him.

            N.J.'s family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the incredible team of doctors, nurses, and staff at Children's Mercy in Kansas City, Missouri. Their dedication, love, and care for N.J. were a source of comfort during the most challenging times. The compassion shown to him, and his family will always be remembered and appreciated.

We invite you to join us in celebrating the extraordinary and impactful life of this brave little warrior. May his journey continue in the embrace of our loving Savior, Jesus Christ, and may he find peace and joy in the company of angels.

            The family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton, Missouri.

            A private graveside service will be held at Dice Cemetery in Fairview, Missouri.
