Peggy Etta McCullough

Peggy Etta McCullough, 63, of Yellville, Arkansas.

Peggy Etta McCullough, 63, of Yellville, Arkansas passed away peacefully at her home on October 22, 2024.  She was born on June 27, 1961, in Hollywood, Florida, the daughter of William and Mary (Grant) Gay.

Preceded in death by her father, W.T. “Buddy” Gay, her first husband Christian VanAusdeln, her late husband, Randy McCullough, and her younger brother Paul Gay.  Peggy leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication and service.

Peggy proudly served in the United States Army before pursuing a career in healthcare.  Beginning as a certified nursing assistant, she worked her way up to becoming a Registered Nurse, devoting 14 years to Gassville Therapy and Living.  Her exceptional skills, kindness, compassion and generosity inspired everyone she touched, whether patients or coworkers.

Outside of work, Peggy loved going on “Casino Adventures” with her mother and her cherished girls’ group – Carolyn, Carmeletta and Kelsey – finding joy in their special bond and shared experiences.

Peggy is survived by her son, Jacob Lawler, her daughter and son-in-law, Brandy and Harold Feltmate, her two grandchildren, Esme and Cassandra, her mother, Mary “Kay” Gay, her best friend Carolyn Harmon, and her beloved dog Clifford.

Peggy’s kindness, humor and joy will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
