Randy Willis Kellum

Randy Willis Kellum, 72, of Branson.

Randy Willis Kellum of Branson, Missouri, was born October 5, 1951, and passed away on Sunday August 11, 2024, at the age of 72.

Raised in the local community and graduating from Hollister High School in 1969, Randy found his passion for the outdoors at a very young age and woodworking shortly after.

Randy was known for his love of the outdoors and love of reading, but most importantly, the love of his life, Judy.

Randy and Judy met while working on the same project at College of the Ozarks in 1988, she as an interior designer, and he as a master cabinetmaker. Their relationship blossomed and they married in 1988. They opened a thriving local business, The Design Shop, also known as Kitchens, Baths and Interiors. They were known by nearly everyone in the community that they loved so much.

After retirement, Randy kept busy with his woodworking, reading, going to the shooting range and keeping up with his close friends, of whom there were many. He and Judy spent the last years of his life in their home they built together in Branson. Randy was always great with stories of his life and kept those around him laughing. He was glad to see anyone who stopped by, never turned down the opportunity to help anyone in need and valued each relationship. Randy’s absence will be deeply felt by those who knew and loved him.

Randy is survived by his wife, Judy; children: Stacy (Michael) Yaw of Gulf Shores, Alabama, and Curtis (Hollie) Kellum of Clever, Missouri; stepchildren: Jeff MacDonald of Nashville, Tennessee, Jill MacDonald of Belle Plaine, Minnesota, and Todd (Kristen) MacDonald of Joplin, Missouri; and grandchildren: Kayla, Michael, Joseph and Katy.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Shirley Ross; grandparents: Clifford and Alfa Baty; and a half-brother, Shannon Ross.

A celebration of Randy’s life will be held Saturday August 24th at 10:00 a.m., Mincy Full Gospel Church, Highway JJ, Kirbyville, Missouri. Please come and share stories of your time spent with Randy so we can all love on him and laugh together. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks. Please visit www.cremationsoftheozarks.com.

In lieu of flowers, it would be the wishes of Randy to make a donation to the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation in his honor.
