Robert “Bob” Elmo Highfill, age 80.
Robert “Bob” Elmo Highfill, age 80, passed away with family by his side on October 29, 2024. He entered this life on October 16, 1944, the son of James and Reba (Woodson) Highfill in Little Rock, Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Edwin Highfill. Bob was joined in marriage on July 20, 1984, to Patricia Sarver.
With a heart for service, Bob served at church and as president at the Lions Club in Hot Springs. He retired as CFO of Hot Springs Convention Center. Bob loved playing Mexican train dominos with the guys at church. He was talented with plants and enjoyed working in his yard. Bob was a quick-witted and kind person that anyone could ask for. He was the most loving husband and best friend; Patti could ever imagine. The memories and moments created throughout his lifetime will be treasured by all who knew him.
Bob is survived by his wife of forty years, Patti Ann Highfill of Branson, Missouri; beloved cat and companion, Gypsy; granddaughter, Alaina Headly of Pensacola, Florida; son, Todd (Donna) Highfill of Benton, Arkansas; sister, Reba (Bud) Stoddard of Benton, Arkansas; aunt, Maxine Byrns of Conway, Arkansas; lifelong best friend, John Cook; and Pastor Jeremy and church family at FBC.
An enormous thank you from the family to Compassus for their care for Bob; Carol Wilkerson for being his political friend; the staff at Cremations of the Ozarks; as well as all the doctors involved in his care: Dr. Wherry, Dr. Cornelison and staff, Dr. Nair, and Dr. Prasad.
There will be a Celebration of Life held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 14, 2024, at the First Baptist Church, 400 S. Sunshine, Branson, Missouri, with Pastor Jeremy Thomas officiating.
