Robert “Bob” Keith Dowler, 79, of Branson.

Robert “Bob” Keith Dowler passed away on September 15, 2024, in Branson, Missouri, at the age of 79.

Born on December 27, 1944, in Belleville, Illinois, Bob was one of six children born to Dave & Midge (Clark) Dowler.  He spent his early years in Springfield, where he completed his elementary education and went on to graduate from Willard High School in 1962.  He married the love of his life, Susie Baker on January 26, 1963, in Springfield.

In 1967, Bob and Susie moved to Branson from Springfield with their two young children.  He worked in sales  for many years before owning/operating Branson Landscaping, where he enjoyed the hard work and challenge of creating beautiful spaces.

Bob was musical, creative and enjoyed life. He was musically gifted and took immense pleasure in playing in a band as a young man. One of his favorite artists was Elvis and he loved spending time listening to music. Bob also found enjoyment and adventure in the great outdoors, enjoying activities such as fishing, hunting, and archery.  You could find Bob behind a camera, capturing memories and the abundant wild life around his home and peacefully watching his vibrant  fish swim in his tanks and pond. In everything he did, Bob approached life with passion, His greatest joy was being a grandfather.

He will be deeply missed by his wife Susie Dowler of Branson; his daughter, Angela Pryor (David) of Kansas City, MO; his beloved grandchildren, Cory Scott (Heather) of Springfield, Caleb Pryor of Grandview, and Katherine Dowler of Seattle; and siblings, Jim Dowler (Sandy) of Springfield,  Greg Dowler (JoEllen) of Springfield, and Suzanne Dowler of Springfield.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Dave and Midge Dowler; his son, Anthony “Tony” Dowler; and brothers, Ronnie Dowler and Denny Dowler.

Bob’s life will be remembered in a memorial service on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at 11:00 am in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory,  Branson. Visitation and a light lunch will be held immediately following services at the clubhouse in Lakewood Estates, 700 Parnell Dr.
