Robert Donald “Bob” Green, age 74, of Shell Knob, MO

Robert Donald “Bob” Green, age 74, of Shell Knob, Missouri, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021 at his home.

He was born August 24, 1947 in Grand Haven, Michigan the son of Raymond Jack and Dorothy Marian (Shall) Green.  On October 25, 1980 in Tucson, Arizona he was united in marriage to Connie Kressin, who survives.  Also surviving are his step-mother, Patricia Green of Livonia, Michigan; two daughters, Stephanie Gangl and her wife Jenna of Oakland, California and Tami Green of Cassville, Missouri; one sister, Shirley Hill of Upper Peninsula of Michigan; one brother, Roy Green of Paragould, Arkansas; two half-brothers, David Green of Livonia, Michigan and Matthew Green of Lexington, Kentucky and three grandchildren, Siral, Blue and Ginger.

Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, Alan and one sister, Patricia.

Bob grew up in Michigan and graduated from high school in Muskegon.  After graduating he joined the United States Air Force, serving seven years.  For several years he worked for Pennzoil.  After their marriage he and Connie moved to Saudi Arabia where he worked for Aramco as an electrical computer engineer.  For ten years he farmed in Janesville, Iowa before moving to Shell Knob to make his home.  He was of the Catholic faith.  While in Shell Knob he was a volunteer fireman and first responder for Central Crossing Fire Department.  Some of his favorite pastimes were being a private pilot, flying his plane and was also an avid gardener.  He was a member of the Ozark Flying Club in Berryville, Arkansas, affiliated with the Masonic Lodge Nejma 897 in Ras Tanura, Saudi Arabia over 45 years and then Equity 131 Lodge in Janesville, Iowa.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 3:00 P.M. Monday, September 13, 2021 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri.  Pastor Tom Rees will conduct the services.

Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Shell Knob.
