Sandra “Sandy” Jean Schmitlein, age 76, of Kissee Mills, Missouri.

Sandra “Sandy” Jean Schmitlein, age 76, of Kissee Mills, Missouri, passed away November 6, 2024. She entered this life on January 20, 1948, the daughter of Walter and Beaula (Grimm) Schellenberg in Davenport, Iowa.

With an eye for beauty and talent for creativity, Sandy was skilled at making trinkets and other wonderful treasures that she decorated her garden with. She was blessed with other artistic gifts from sewing to hanging wallpaper, she was great at everything and anything she put her mind to. Sandy loved thrift store shopping and searching for mom-and-pop restaurants. She was a caring compassionate person who would help anyone in need. The memories and love shared over the past seventy-six years will be treasured by all who knew her.

Sandy is survived by her daughters: Ronda Mills and husband, Jamie of Kissee Mills, Missouri, and LeAnn Gamm of Colorado Springs, Colorado; grandchildren: Kelsi Bruhn and husband, Ethan of Hollister, Missouri, and Lili Mills of Kissee Mills, Missouri; great-granddaughters, Evelyn and Jemma Bruhn of Hollister, Missouri; and sister, Judy Shelly of Buffalo, Missouri.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Al Schellenberg; and sisters: Margie Streat, Susie Blanchard, and Kathy Bates.
