Sandra “Sandy” Lee Ward Stephenson, age 87.
Sandra “Sandy” Lee Ward Stephenson, age 87, passed away on December 11, 2024. She was born on November 22, 1937, the daughter of John and Velma (Guffey) Howard in Elliott, Iowa. Sandy was joined in marriage to James Stephenson. Sandy and her husband had been long time residents of Branson and surrounding areas after retirement.
A wonderful mother, sister, and friend, Sandy loved spending time with her family and friends.
Sandy graduated from high school in Poulsbo, Washington, and continued her education in business school. During her career she was Vice President of banking at Montgomery County Bank in Red Oak, Iowa.
Sandy enjoyed doing senior yoga, organizing and playing dominoes with neighbors. Sandy was a devout Catholic and was active in the local Branson Catholic Church. Sandy always had a smile and a kind word for everyone she met. The memories and moments created over the years with Sandy will be treasured by all who knew her.
Sandy is survived by her sons: Patrick Bryan Ward, Peter Howard Ward, and Timothy Michael Ward; two grandchildren: Sean Ward and Taylor Ward; two brothers: William “Bill” Howard (Sharon) and John D. Howard Jr. (Debbie); and two stepdaughters Donna Stephenson and Darolyn Lennon.
She is preceded by her parents; husband, James Stephenson; and infant brother, Jerry Howard.
