Shirley Marie Wells

Shirley Marie Wells, 89.

Shirley Marie Wells, 89, passed away Sept. 6, 2024 in Hospice care in Branson, MO.

Shirley was born and raised in Dunmore, PA, the daughter of George and Florence Travis and the youngest sibling of brothers George Jr, John and sister Florence, all deceased. As a single Mom, she engaged in a variety of employment to ensure her family’s well-being while instilling her strong work ethic in her children. Eventually, more suitable to her genuine and outgoing personality, she found success in the Hospitality industry and working in the Vacation Ownership business, of late in Branson MO.

Shirley had an adventurous spirit and was open to the unconventional. She possessed a great sense of humor and found beauty and wonder in the natural world. A woman of compassion and emotion, she cared deeply for her family and the people she loved, including animals and her pets, in particular her cats Howie and Moe. She had an artistic flair – a smooth voice that could accompany her ear-trained piano playing. As she loved most music, especially the songs of the great Charles Aznavour, she was delighted to have seen him in concert. Shirley also possessed a strong will, persevering through life’s trials and tribulations with a mix of stubbornness, love, trust in peanut oil as a cure-all, and faith in a greater power.

Shirley is survived by her sons, Robert Feleccia (Arlene) of Lewes DE; Richard Feleccia (Paul) of Tobyhanna, PA; Ronald Feleccia (Mary) of Ambler PA & daughter, Toni Crispen (Keith Bryant) of Branson MO; grandchildren Bradley Feleccia, Brian Feleccia, Augustus Feleccia, Samuel Feleccia (Taylor), Amelia Feleccia and great-grandson Jackson Feleccia.

Shirley will be honored and remembered privately by family and friends in a celebration of her life.

Cremation arrangements were in the care of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson.
