Sonja Jean Cooper, age 84, of Shell Knob, Missouri.

Sonja Jean Cooper, age 84, of Shell Knob, Missouri passed away Friday, November 22, 2024.

She was born January 23, 1940 in Cassville, Missouri the daughter of William and Mabel (Henbest) Sanders. On December 17, 1960 in Granby, Missouri she was united in marriage to Donald L. Cooper, who survives. Also surviving are her son, Russell Arl Cooper of Louisville, Texas; daughter, Julia Donetta Cooper Riggs and her husband John of Blue Springs, Missouri; brother, Johnnie Jay Sanders and his wife Juanita of Warner, Oklahoma; sisters, Judy Gayle Jarnagin and her husband MD of Independence, Missouri and Ronna Sue Brock of Claremore, Oklahoma; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents and brothers, Billy Dean Sanders and Michael Ray Sanders.

Sonja attended school in Granby, Missouri graduating from Granby High School. She was a homemaker. Some of her favorite pastimes were sewing, cooking, painting, and quilting. Sonja was a member of Lohmer Full Gospel Church.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at Lohmer Full Gospel Church in Shell Knob, Missouri, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor David Donaldson and Brother Lonnie Stockton will conduct the services. Burial will be at Painter Cemetery in Shell Knob, Missouri.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until service time Wednesday.
