Stephen “Steve” Robert Watson, age 78, of Hollister, Missouri.
Stephen “Steve” Robert Watson, age 78, of Hollister, Missouri, passed away October 15, 2024, with family by his side. He entered this life on July 5, 1946, the son of Ortis and June (Steinmeyer) Watson in Waterloo, Iowa. Steve was joined in marriage to Peggy Jean Watson on October 17, 1970.
A hardworking individual, Steve worked for John Deere for thirty-three years before his retirement. He showed ample generosity while serving as a board member of Options Pregnancy Clinic, held multiple leadership positions for international missions, and was an advisor for Crown Financial Ministries. Steve also offered guidance on finances and career paths. The memories and moments created over the years will be treasured by all who knew him.
Steve is survived by wife of nearly fifty-four years, Peggy Watson of Hollister, Missouri; sons: Luke Watson of Cedar Falls, Iowa, and Zach Watson and wife, Erin of Hollister, Missouri; and three grandsons: Kelby, Kemper, and Keane.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
There will be a funeral service held 10:00 a.m. Saturday October 19, 2024, at FBC, 400 S. Sunshine Street, Branson, Missouri, with Jay Todd officiating. Steve will be interned following the service at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery, 1638 E State Highway 76, Branson, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Steve’s name may be made to Ozarks Teen Challenge, www.ozarksteenchallenge.com. Service and burial are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
