Susan Kay Diaz, age 56, of Belton, Missouri.
Susan Kay Diaz, age 56, of Belton, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly June 21, 2024, in one of her favorite vacation spots, Branson, Missouri. She entered this life November 21, 1967, the daughter of Douglas and Dolores (Ruckel) Hubbard in Topeka, Kansas. Susan was joined in marriage to Joe A. Diaz II on August 28, 1993.
Susan loved baking and cooking; she always said the secret ingredient to cooking was LOVE. She loved the ocean and anything to do with the outdoors and her grandchildren. She loved to crochet blankets for her loved ones, she loved music especially if it was the ole timey twangy country songs. Susan never knew a stranger; her heart and soul was to live solely for her family. She was an amazing wife and soulmate. If there was a real-life Mary Poppin's, it would be Susan. She could always spread endless laughter and joy to anyone anywhere. She was an amazing DJ/KJ with the voice of an angel.
Susan had this inviting personality that captivated all those around her; she had this way of making you feel like you could tell her anything in the world and she always had two ways of giving advice back, the realistic point of view and the wild side that would make you question, did she just say that? She could walk into any restaurant/gas station/store, and she would always end up saying, hey I know you, and sure enough she did! It always made going anywhere just a little bit more interesting.
The shocking passing of my mom has left us feeling so many things and in anyone's life there will be a handful of emotions when this kind of unexpected news hits you. As I have said and will continue to say "We each have had a different relationship with our mom, so we are each going to grieve differently."
