William Henry “Bill” Rapp, Jr., age 73, of Foley, Alabama passed away Saturday, November 16, 2024.
He was born May 6, 1951 in East St. Louis, Illinois the son of William Henry Rapp, Sr. and Dolores Marie Duffy. On October 1, 2000 in Santa Cruz, Bolivia he was united in marriage to Martha Sonia Greiner, who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Lauren Rapp of Washington, D.C and two sons, Jason Cash of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Alejandro Greiner Malbet and his wife Lannette Guerra of San Francisco, California; one brother, Robert Rapp of Tampa, Florida; one sister, Carol Shaw of Montgomery, Alabama and one granddaughter, Rebecca Malbet.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one son, Jesus Leonardo Malbet.
Bill grew up and attended school in Belleville, Illinois graduating from Belleville High School later attending Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland earning a bachelor’s degree in business. He owned and operated Wickizer and Clutter Inc. in Springfield, Missouri as an independent claims adjuster for many years. Prior to Wickizer, he worked for GAB and throughout his career, he met and maintained relationships with people he valued for decades. He truly loved the work he did and took pride in showing up for his clients and colleagues.
He was diligent and loyal and believed in service to his community. He was active in many organizations over the years, some dear to him were the Coast Guard, the Knights of Columbus and various roles in the Catholic Church. In his later years, he continued his service and faith as a member of St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Parish in Foley, Alabama.
He delighted in life and loved his family and friends. He was a loving husband that enjoyed quality time and adventures with his wife. He appreciated art and music. He enjoyed playing classical guitar, loved jazz and blues and classic rock. He enjoyed time spent outdoors, boating, fishing and playing golf. He had various pets over the years and tended to many gardens and enjoyed driving and tinkering around restoring vintage cars and boats.
He had a great sense of humor, bright eyes and an infectious smile that will be missed.

Mass will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1609 N. Summit in Springfield, Missouri. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30 P.M. Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Springfield Brewing Company, 305 South Market Avenue (Private Room – Upstairs) in Springfield, Missouri. All are welcome to attend both services or just one service as is their preference. The Mass will be a traditional funeral mass and the Celebration of Life will be a personal time with video, food and time to gather to remember Bill beginning at 1:30 P.M. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
